Challenge provides groups the opportunity to build their own unique experience. Groups can choose from several options how they want to spend their afternoons.

Afternoon Options

Groups can sign up for opportunities to minister through service and prayer in the afternoons.

  • Prayer outreach is intercessory and evangelism based outreach utilizing prayer stations and prayer walking. Training is provided.
  • Service projects mobilize groups to serve with their hands, muscles, and servant hearts. Projects include restoring parks and playgrounds, working with homeless shelters, partnering with other city organizations, and coming alongside of local churches as an extension into their communities.

Pre-registration is required.

Take learning to a new level with a variety of labs that provide students with practical skills for the other 51 weeks of the year.

Several open-play rec options are available from 1 – 5 p.m. each afternoon and 9:45 – 11 p.m. each evening, including volleyball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, soccer, 9-square, gaga ball, basketball, and various lawn games.

On Thursday afternoon, groups can participate in organized tournaments in ultimate frisbee, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Sign ups for these tournaments will occur during Wednesday breakfast; look for the sign-up table in the dining hall!

Feel free to take an afternoon to pull your group away for some intentional time together by enjoying area attractions. Go to www.visitKC.com for more visitors’ info.

Prayer moves

Prayer Moves is an optional, organized prayer and worship time before each evening Gathering. Students will seek the face of God alongside hundreds of other students.
