COVID-19 Planning

We can’t wait to see you in person again in July! Our team is working hard to plan a Challenge experience that is safe for attendees, and we will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic status and follow local, federal and health guidelines.

Keep an eye on this page for current information about our health and wellbeing plan for Challenge 2022.

Frequently asked questions

Last Updated: December 20, 2021

Will you require attenders to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result?

We are not planning to require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result.

Will masks be required?

It is possible we will require masks indoors, depending on the status of the virus and local regulations in Kansas City.

Even if masks will not be required for Challenge activities, we recommend all attenders bring a mask in case they need to enter facilities that do require a mask, such as while traveling to/from Challenge.

What will be the procedure if students display symptoms on site at Challenge?

We will have a health plan and process that will specifically address any onsite COVID-19 cases. Check back here for updates.

If the pandemic status changes and it seems Challenge might not be able to be held in Kansas City, when will you make a decision?

If cancellation or a pivot appears necessary, we hope to decide and communicate details by the end of March.

What is your refund policy?

Through June 2, 2022, we will grant refunds (minus your deposit*).

After June 2, 2022, we cannot guarantee a refund; they will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

*Deposits ($100/person) for Challenge are due at time of registration and nonrefundable. Deposits can be transferred to another attender in your group (i.e. switch people) or to your overall account balance, but they are not refundable.

Exception: If the conference is cancelled, churches who have registered will have these options regarding their submitted registration payments:

  • Refund: Request a full refund (including your deposits).
  • Donate: Prayerfully consider transferring your payment as a donation in support of the continued ministry of Challenge.
  • Do both: Request a partial refund and transfer the rest as a donation.
